Old Glory DC is excited to announce the return of All-Army 7s and local NOVA Rugby player Dacoda Worth for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. The backrow made his Major League rugby debut during the 2021 season on April 3rd when Old Glory DC faced the Toronto Arrows at Lupo Field in Marietta, GA. He went on to play two more matches with Old Glory DC during their 2021 campaign.

“I really looking forward to growing the culture and getting dubs,” said Dacoda. “DC is in very good hands between the amazing fans, players, and coaches. I am so happy to be a part of it.”

“It’s very pleasing to have players that were involved in our combine season still with us, they are important members of the family,” said Head Coach Andrew Douglas. “Dacoda has worked hard to make Old Glory a strong club and is going into his fourth season with us. He’s a good man who demonstrates the values we believe are important.”

Dacoda was a standout at the Old Glory professional combine held in Washington, DC in early 2019 and was invited to join the exhibition squad by Head Coach Andrew Douglas. He was later invited back to join the inaugural team during their start in Major League Rugby in 2020. The backrow started playing rugby at the University of Indiana and has represented the University of Arizona, the Scottsdale Blues, and most recently NOVA Rugby RFC. A two-time All-Army 7’s selection, Dacoda most recently retired from the United States Army as a Sergent in August of 2020.
