Countdown to our home opener :
For several years Young Glory has focused on grassroots participation, growing from a single location to three regional hubs. Having successfully built that foundation the program is now evolving. The new academy will be a selective, professional training environment capped at 60 athletes, operating out of Athletic Republic in Springfield led by coach Simon Cross.
Recruitment: Through two combines, we will select 60 high-caliber athletes ages 16-18, for the September – January academy cycle. With efforts to evolve from recreational participation-based program we are looking for young players aspiring to play for Old Glory DC, collegiate programs or the USA Eagles.
Young Glory values professional standards, elite coaching and providing our athletes a clear pathway to Major League Rugby and collegiate excellence.
ACADEMY DATES: SEPTEMBER 14TH – JANUARY 15TH
TRAINING:
Monday 7pm – 9pm at Athletic Republic, Springfield.
Wednesday 8pm-9.30pm at Sandburg Middle School, Alexandria.
Friday 7pm-9pm at Athletic Republic, Springfield.
PRICE: $200 per month, $800 Total
HIGH-PERFORMANCE ELITE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMYoung Glory will be hosting a Combine for the opportunity to be selected to the 2026 Young Glory high performance academy. With the growth of the academy the combine allows for dedicated and aspiring athletes to showcase their talents and be selected for the new squad.
Through two combines, we will select 60 high caliber athletes for September – January academy cycle. With efforts to evolve from a recreational participation-based program to a high performance elite development program.
