Old Glory DC welcomes previous Austin Gilgronis back-row powerhouse Dominique Bailey to the squad for the 2022 Major League Rugby season. In 2021 with Austin, Dom appeared in 12 matches for 747 minutes of playing time, made 123 successful tackles, arrived at 131 rucks, and accounted for 48 ball carries over 271 meters.

“Dom Bailey comes with a formidable reputation as a defensive machine and dangerous attacker,” said Head Coach Andrew Douglas. “He’s been knocking on the door of the Eagles for a few seasons, and hopefully, at Old Glory we can help break that door down for him. Dom is another well-liked player in the league and will add a hardened edge to the OG family.”

Dom graduated from Davenport University in 2017 and played rugby his entire time there. Born in Louisville, KY, in 2017, he was named to the Men’s Collegiate All-Americans Sevens team. In 2018, he moved up to Division 1, joining the Chicago Lions and Tiger Rugby.

“I’m excited to be starting a new journey in DC with Old Glory,” said Dom on joining Old Glory for 2022. “I’ve heard nothing but great things about the team and the Old Glory fans! I’m looking forward to getting out on the field with the boys and coaches, building a strong culture group, and having a successful 2022 season! Let’s Go!”
