Old Glory DC is proud to welcome center Douglas Fraser to the 2020 squad

Hailing from Ladysmith, British Columbia, Fraser attended the University of Victoria from 2010 to 2015. The back played on the university rugby team and won two national championships with the squad. A standout collegiate athlete, Fraser was awarded the Canadian University 7s Finals MVP and was named to the Canadian University 7s Dream team in 2015.

After graduating, Fraser played with Castaway Wanderers, a Canadian rugby club based in Oak Bay, British Columbia, and BC Bears, a men’s select side team that represents British Columbia. While with the Bears, Fraser was identified as a high-level prospect and was invited to join the national Canadian XVs team. The back made his international debut against Brazil during the Americas Rugby Championship on February 17, 2018.

Fraser comes to Washington with Major League Rugby experience, having most recently played with Austin Elite during the 2019 season.

On joining the DC club, Fraser said “I’m incredibly excited about joining Old Glory and I am really looking forward to being a part of the team’s first official season in the MLR. Everything for the exhibition season in 2019 looked fantastic, and I am looking forward to building and everything the team started last year.”

Fans will be able to see Douglas Fraser take the field during the 2020 home opener on February 16th. Season ticket sales are now out! Make sure you get the best spot in the stands this season. Secure your season tickets here.
