Old Glory DC is proud to welcome former Austin Herd player Dylan Pieterse to the 2020 squad

The South African was born in Kempton Park and attended King Edward VII School in Johannesburg. After graduating KES, Pieterse attended Blue Bulls Rugby Union’s academy. The young lock eventually joined The Pumas, a South African team in the Premier Division of the Currie Cup, South Africa’s premier domestic rugby union competition. In 2016, Pieterse moved to Perth, Australia and attended Western Force’s Future Force program.

Most recently, Pieterse joined Austin Herd for the 2019 MLR season. Dylan Pieterse comes to Washington, DC with his hopes for the team high. On the 2020 squad, Pieterse said, “I believe that the team can reach the play off stages if we focus on a game-by-game basis and focus fully on each game that follows.”
