FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE — (Washington, DC – March 10th, 2021) —The pre-season game between Old Glory DC and Rugby ATL previously scheduled for Friday, March 12, in Marietta, GA has been canceled.

Old Glory and Rugby ATL unanimously agreed on the cancellation of Friday’s match in compliance with Major League Rugby’s COVID-19 positive test and contact tracing policies.

Old Glory will continue to train as normal, test regularly using the MyLabs RT-PCR test, prioritize the health of players and staff, and adhere to all of the medical team’s health and safety protocols as we move forward with an abundance of caution in this situation.

The team is fully committed to bringing the Mid-Atlantic community together in a safe and secure environment for the 2021 Major League Rugby season starting later this month. We look forward to traveling to New Orleans to play NOLA Gold during the season opener on Saturday, March 20th.
