Old Glory DC Taps Into Talented Alumni of Rugby Powerhouse Gonzaga CHS

Old Glory DC is proud to announce the signing of hooker Guy Lopresti. Lopresti, of Hyattsville, Maryland, played rugby at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, DC and at the University of Maryland, where he received Atlantic Coast Rugby League Fall XV First Team honors and represented the university at the Collegiate Rugby Championships (CRCs) in Philadelphia. Lopresti now plays for the Potomac Exiles Rugby Club in Washington, DC and is also a CrossFit Level 1 Certified Instructor at CrossFit Silver Spring in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Dante Lopresti
Old Glory DC is proud to announce the signing of front row Dante Lopresti. Lopresti, of Hyattsville, Maryland, played rugby and captained at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, DC where he was one of the Captains of the Gonzaga 2016 National Championship team and went on to play at Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio. Lopresti was a 2016 US Rugby Foundation Kevin Higgins Scholarship Recipient. The scholarship is given to deserving high school seniors go on to play rugby in college. Lopresti has also played for the Capital Rugby Union Men’s Select Side and now plays for the Potomac Exiles Rugby Club in Washington, DC.

John Davis
Old Glory DC is proud to announce the signing of centre John Davis. Davis, from College Park, Maryland, played rugby at Gonzaga College High School in Washington, DC and the University of Maryland, where he earned All-Atlantic Cup Rugby First Team honors and represented the university at the Collegiate Rugby Championships (CRCs) in Philadelphia. Davis now plays for the Potomac Exiles Rugby Club in Washington, DC.

Matias Cima
Old Glory DC is proud to announce the signing of flyhalf and centre Matias Cima. Cima, from Buenos Aires, Argentina, graduated from Gonzaga College High School in Washington, DC and went onto the University of Maryland where he captained the team, earned Honorable US All-American Honors and was two-time Player of the Year for the Atlantic Coast Rugby League. Cima has also played for the Capital Rugby Union Select Side and now plays for Rocky Gorge Rugby Club.
