John Powers

John Powers is an American rugby union player known for his versatility. He began his professional career with the Utah Warriors in 2021, playing as a right wing. In 2022, he joined Rugby New York, where he played as a left wing until 2023.

In 2023, John played 84 minutes in four matches for Rugby New York before a leg injury ended his season. After recovering, he played in the Fall American Rugby Premiership with NYACC.

In December 2023, Powers signed with Old Glory DC for the 2024 Major League Rugby season, bringing his experience and versatility to the team as an Outside Center.

John is into fitness, and going back to school to study law. He has a business with his partner Julia, centered around women’s health.
