Tevita Naqali, a towering Fijian lock and flanker, has been a steadfast presence in Old Glory DC’s lineup since their debut season. Standing at 6’6” and bringing immense physicality to the field, Naqali’s versatility and work ethic make him a vital asset in the second row and back row.
Hailing from Nadroga, Fiji, Tevita’s rugby roots trace back to Suva Grammar School and Fiji National University, where he balanced academics with his early athletic pursuits. His career highlights include playing for the Fijian Drua in the National Rugby Championship and competing internationally in Spain and the Global Rapid Rugby Showcase. Known for his ball carrying and physicality in the tackle, he has amassed over 50 caps for Old Glory.
Off the field, Tavita is a role model and mentor, embodying the passion and resilience that drive Old Glory DC’s ambition to succeed in Major League Rugby. Fans can always count on his unwavering commitment to the game.
