Sonsene-Feagai attended Sacred Heart College and later Waikato University. Additionally, the hooker has ties to two club teams in New Zealand, Ardmore Marist and Auckland Marist.

In 2018, Sosene-Feagai joined the Auckland squad in the Mitre 10 Cup. The team went 9-1 during the Mitre 10 Cup Premiership and defeated Canterbury in the finals.
