Old Glory DC is excited to announce the boys and girls academy rosters to face New England Free Jacks U19 academy on July 10th, 2021.

The U19 players have been training together since November for upcoming academy matches, and this weekend marks the first-ever academy test.

“The staff and I are so excited to finally kick off this first match for the players,” said Academy Director Brianna Kim. “They’ve worked hard to learn and absorb new concepts each week and are eager to let their own individual strengths and creativity shine. For me, the coolest part of this opportunity is that we have 18 clubs represented among these two teams – eight girls clubs and ten boys clubs. We want to thank these local teams for buying into what Old Glory can provide for our community, and we hope to further strengthen and develop the grassroots rugby here in the DMV.”

The captain of the girl’s squad will be Bella Iscaro, with Sofia Florio and Elly Gorham acting as Vice Captains. The captain of the boy’s squad will be Rolf Hsu. Girls clubs represented are Howard University, Vienna, MD Exiles, West End, TC Williams, Vikings, Vienna, and West Carroll Marauders. Boys clubs represented are Gonzaga, Fort Hunt, Howard County Hurricane Express, Bethesda Roosters, Vienna, MD Exiles, MD Diamondbacks, Loyola HS, Winchester Cannons, and Rocky Gorge.

The girl’s match will start at 11:30 AM, and the boy’s match will start at 1:00 PM. Tickets for the match can be purchased online. Tickets grant entry to the entire Old Glory game day at Segra Field, including the Washington Renegades vs Baltimore Flamingos match at 3 PM and Old Glory vs San Diego Legion match at 5 PM. Reentry to the stadium is not allowed.
